All my sculptures are handmade from ceramic clay and therefore have signs of the loving care that went into creating each piece. They might not be perfectly symmetrical or have a smooth surface. All this adds to their individuality to reflect my client's own individuality.
- I sculpt in ceramic clay using reference images that I took of real models.
- Once the sculpting is completed and the piece is bone dry, I fire the sculpture in a kiln to a temperature of 1150°C.
- The firing makes the clay solid and durable.
- This sculpture is finished with a Raku Saggar using metal oxides and citrus peel.
